Arrive in Charleston and check in to The Charleston Place hotel. Receive a warm greeting from our team as we lead you through event registration, where you will collect your schedule and special gifts from Hoffman Media and our partners. Shopping begins when doors open to our holiday boutique, brimming with a dazzling selection of products. In the early evening, the second Gracious Living Celebration officially commences with a festive welcome dinner centered around the incomparable comforts of hearth and home. New York Times best-selling author and former Victoria Writer-in-Residence Jennifer L. Scott offers the keynote address.
Tuesday, October 21
Wake up refreshed and enjoy breakfast accompanied by a special conversation between Brian Hart Hoffman, owner and chief creative officer of Hoffman Media, and Morgan Hutchinson, founder of the fashion brand BURU. Known for inspiring women to dress for joy every day, Morgan will share her expert styling tips to carry you beautifully through every season of life and every occasion.You’ll then enjoy your first Small Group Creativity Session, where you will meet friends while pursuing a new pastime or strengthening an existing passion. Following this breakout session, the day is yours for exploring hotel amenities or the sites of Charleston on your own, with the option to participate in an add-on afternoon excursion or creative workshop.
Wednesday, October 22
This full day begins with breakfast, held within the warming glow of environs dressed for Christmas. In this festive setting, humanitarian, designer, and author India Hicks offers an inspiring keynote address. Following this presentation, you’ll experience another Small Group Creativity Session. Afternoon unfolds with lunch on your own and a delightful sip and shop along King Street, with our favorite area boutiques welcoming Gracious Living Celebration attendees with light bites or other special offerings. The evening culminates with a cocktail party and book signing featuring our esteemed event speakers and Hoffman Media authors.
Thursday, October 23
A farewell breakfast brings together a coterie of new friends with shared memories of a wonderful time together in Charleston. You’ll hear from a fabulous group of designers during a panel discussion led by Southern Home editor Lynn Terry. Learn how Sandra Ericksen, of Sandra Ericksen Design & Tableau, and Grace Frederick, of Grace Frederick Design, style homes for the holidays that feel fresh, personal, and timeless. Departures will be on your own before lunch.
